April Charles

April Charles has served as Senior Vice President of UWM since 2025, leading the firm’s client experience and relationship management. Mrs. Charles is dedicated to providing personalized, attentive wealth management services designed to meet each client’s unique goals and needs. Her commitment to exceptional service has helped build lasting relationships based on trust and confidence.

In 2012, CEO René Nourse and April Charles co-founded UWM with a clear purpose: to provide fiduciary financial guidance that honors the client and to build a firm that truly supports women advisors balancing professional ambition with personal responsibilities. Prior to founding UWM, she built her expertise at Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments, Morgan Stanley, and Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Smith Barney. 

April holds her Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and studied Business Administration at Long Beach City College. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family.
