Lori Andrews is a life coach and founder of Journey Life Coaching - Southbay. She works with widows and widowers to help them transition through the process of grief and loss to meet their future goals, dreams and aspirations following the loss of a spouse or significant other. Each person grieves differently, and there is no “timeframe” for the length and intensity of the grieving process, it varies from person to person and can last over a period of several months or years.
Lori is experienced in the use of general life coaching techniques and utilizes Positive Psychology theory, and the GROW model in her practice. Additionally, she makes use of several individually tailored tools and evaluations based on her client’s needs and future objectives. Ultimately, her goal is to help individuals work on areas of their choosing that will bring more balance, happiness, and success into their lives.
Lori has previously worked for several industries including civil service, aerospace, publishing, and financial services as a human resources manager. Additionally, she also worked for 10 years for a non-profit as a program officer and grants manager for a charitable foundation that offered clients financial assistance and provided additional services through partnering with social services agencies.
She has previous experience as a recruiter, career and executive leadership coach, and corporate trainer working with all levels of clients for major corporations, independent businesses and local organizations.
Lori holds a B.A. in Sociology/ Psychology from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and an MBA with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from University of Phoenix. She is a member of the association of Black MBA’s, CALRTA – California Retired Teachers Association, and is also certified through Psychology Today as a coach and therapist for client referrals, networking, and partnerships within the therapeutic community.
