We welcome back Los Angeles real estate expert Tia Hughes for an informative discussion about five emerging real estate trends for 2021. She reviews some opportunities and risks you might not have considered, including the current state of inventory for home buyers, trends in real estate prices and interest rates, and questions about property size and tenant-occupied property.

Tia began her real estate journey as an investor, and her enthusiasm hasn’t waned since. She purchased and managed rental properties soon after graduating from college.
Tax Accounting
Tia’s professional background includes Tax Accounting and Marketing. Her growing interest as an investor led her to a position as a Project Manager for a real estate company that sponsored Tenant-in-Common investments. There, she also did Asset and Property Management, as well as Acquisitions and Dispositions for the company’s portfolio. Tia’s tax accounting background served her well with a strong foundation in financial analysis—an important ingredient for real estate transactions.
Segue to Residential Real Estate
Tia’s residential real estate career began at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, where she built a foundation of strong relationships with clients and the realtor community. Tia was recognized as a member of the Coldwell Banker International Sterling Society for “outstanding performance” in 2012.
Tia then moved to Rodeo Realty, where she displayed an excellent platform for serving her clients. She was admitted to Rodeo Realty’s Executive Club for her 2013 achievements.
Tia has since transitioned to Compass where she helps sellers reach their end goal, and guides buyers through their real estate transactions. She believes that matching buyers and sellers creates a win-win scenario for all.
New Investment Avenues
Currently, Tia also works in Investment Real Estate, where she specializes in Multi-Family Sales. Business-centered in customer service and client satisfaction, she believes that anything is possible with motivation and hard work. Qualified and adept to represent the most astute seller, yet gentle and patient enough help a first-time buyer, Tia remains eager to earn your business with dedication, integrity and communication.
Education
Tia graduated from University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Business/Economics, with an emphasis in Accounting. She also completed the Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate (TEC) program while at UCSB. Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Tia has extensive knowledge of the Greater Los Angeles real estate market. She enjoys cooking, volunteering, dancing, basketball and spending time with her husband.
